About Krick

If you look for a lovely thing you will find it — It is not far. It never will be far.
— Sara Teasdale

Rhode Island and NH based artist, Krick Clark, has been honing her skills in painting and mark making since she was a small child. When words were inadequate to capture the depth of her emotions, the paintbrush offered welcome relief. What started as self-soothing evolved over the years into a self-satisfying practice of interpersonal exploration through color, texture, line, and form.

Krick opened her first commercial retail studio in 2007 in Charlotte, NC and has been selling to clients from her constantly growing inventory and via commissions since then. From Charlotte, she ventured up to New England where she established studios in New Hampshire and Cape Cod. Her latest adventure has taken her painting practice to the Ocean State. She recently relocated her main studio to her home away from home—Peacedale, RI. It is here you can find Krick paint splattered and encouraging family, friends, and clients to come and experience the process of making art, share in a craft cocktail, or even just sit in conversation about life for awhile.

Krick has been trained in a variety of modalities and utilizes various mediums—centering most of her work in oil, acrylic, and various wax based applications. She aims to make abstract art accessible, inclusive, and therapeutic - encouraging buyers and onlookers to become an active part of the art making process. Make an appointment or stop by her studio to begin your journey into the wonderful world of abstraction today.
